My friends, Jeremy and Kirrin were married today in Auckland. I do not like to miss my friends' weddings, but I didn't have many options for this particular celebration. I petitioned with my department manager, but he said he put it on his list of things to say 'no' to.In any case, I am thrilled for them. I got to know both Jeremy and Kirrin last year in Antarctica, and Jeremy gave up his room in his house for me when I stayed in Auckland for a week. And, in the weeks following my visit, they must have fallen in love, because today, they had a wedding!
Jeremy & Kirrin, I wish you the best, and I still owe you that bottle of wine!
