In honor of my last day in Washington and my best kiwi friends' engagement announcement, I decided to make pavlova. Kirrin and Jeremy sent me a fantastic New Zealand cookbook. And, before I took off, I definitely wanted to try the "tried and true" amazing recipe. Yum!
The batter was the best ever, but I still have to work on my baking techniques. After looking quite impressive at first, the dessert must have cooled off too fast and it fell down. I topped the dessert with heaps of whipped cream and some fanciful fruit (the kiwis really are from New Zealand), so that even in it's flatness, it still tastes good!
